Please be aware that the Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has extended the current public health order until Wednesday, December 2nd, a new Public Health order will go into effect on Wednesday. Governor Lujan Grisham announced late last week a new framework for reopening New Mexico’s economy. The framework categorizes counties by color – red, yellow, and green – based upon the calculation of new COVID-19 case incidence rate and an average of positive COVID-19 test results over
the last 14 days. City Hall and all city buildings will stay closed until our county turns from Red (Average Daily Cases are 8 or more per 100,000 AND Test Positivity of 5% or greater) to Yellow (Average Daily Cases under 8 per 100,000 OR Test Positivity under 5%). The City of Alamogordo’s priority has always been to ensure our employees are safe and city functions continue uninterrupted. We believe this decision is in the best interest of our employees and our citizens. Below is the link to the state map that shows where each county currently stands. As a reminder, citizens can still make utility or court fine payments online or through the drop box located outside of City Hall. No utilities will be cut off during this current City closure, but delinquency and late fees are still in effect. All departments will still be available via phone or email Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, please see list below. More information can be found on our website at ci.alamogordo.nm.us.
